Our Say…….. This Coachman Laser 655 is a very high specification caravan with a multi-functional layout which means it can be used as a 6,5,4 or even as an extra large 2 berth. You could use the end bedroom as 2 single beds, make in to bunks & sleep 3 or 4, leave down as a fixed permanent bed or simply leave as is & use as an extra lounge/dinette, this flexible layout serves all purposes. A solidly built, well equipped, substantial twin axle Coachman caravan in very good condition both internally & externally and would be equally at home used as a large tourer or sited on a seasonal pitch & used as a static.

Coachman’s objective for the Laser range back in 2011 was to produce caravans of the highest quality, offering home from home comfort, whilst featuring every luxury you can imagine and with this superb example you would struggle to argue against their achievements.

Description: Coachman Laser 655

Front Lounge:

3 double glazed, poly plastic windows combine with the large Heki 2 panoramic roof light to create an airy and light feel to the living area.Discreetly fitted within one of the overhead lockers is the Pioneer entertainment system with remote control, radio, CD, MP3 player, ipod connectivity and a DVD player (with playback routed to the two TV points – one in the lounge and one between the mid-section and the bedroom). The windows, roof lights and door all come with fly screen and blackout blinds and the side and rear windows are flush fitting Seitz cassette units. The front section of the Laser has a good sized lounge area featuring two opposing full length fully sprung, deep comfortable bench seat sofas and back rests, set into fully engineered aluminium frame supports with under-seat storage provided via a hinged lift-up system supported by a gas strut in the open position providing easy access. These seats can be used as two single beds or converted into a double bed using the unique leg supported pull-out bed frame (berths 1 & 2). A 3-drawer chest of drawers (with metal runners & chrome handles to all draws) is positioned at the front of the caravan between the seats which also has a slide out coffee table. If a larger table is required there are two ‘fold out’ dining tables which have their own stowage within the caravan. The ‘luxury’ soft furnishings are upholstered in a neutral design flecked fabric with scatter cushions & toning curtains with tie-backs. There are loose-lay carpets with a quality wood effect flooring underneath. The furniture including drawers, cupboards & table tops are finished in Walnut coloured veneered laminate, with Italian design incorporating a metal trim added to the numerous overhead lockers & all work surfaces are finished in a decorative laminate. Set into the ceiling is a large Heki 2 rooflight that gives the lounge a light airy feel along with the 3 large panoramic front windows and plenty of ventilation when opened. The 6’5” headroom within the caravan & the 7’5” width also adds to the spacious feel. Concealed within an overhead locker is a branded CD/Radio/DVD player with i-Pod connection. Fitted speakers are alongside as well as a fold down TV table with a TV point with 12v, 230v and co-axial sockets. LED corner lighting & reading spotlights are also supplied.

Moving back through the caravan, opposite the kitchen area is a large double wardrobe, with the Truma dual fuel fire beneath, as well as the concealed stowage for the two folding tables.

Set in to the ceiling in-between above the kitchen area is an Omnivent 3 speed extractor fan with skylight.

Centre Kitchen:

The well-appointed centre kitchen boasts a Thetford 107ltr 3-way fridge including 11ltr full width ice box, electronic ignition, digital display and stylish curved stainless finish door with black trim, Thetford Aspire oven with 4 burner gas hob & separate grill with electric ignition and flame failure and an eye level factory fitted microwave in a dedicated housing. Set into the work surface is a recessed Spinflo Argent stainless steel kitchen sink and drainer, glass lid as well as a chrome pillar mixer tap. The glass safety hob cover with cut out feature, also can withstand hot pans adding to the already ample heat resistant work surfaces. Plenty of cupboard and drawer storage is available for crockery & kitchen essentials.

Centre Washroom:

Opposite the kitchen is the washroom which has a separate one piece fully lined ABS curved shower cubicle with ABS shower tray & chrome mixer tap, a swivelling Thetford electric flush C250 toilet, an ABS white sink with chrome mixer tap set into a vanity unit with storage cupboard. A further cupboard, shelves, privacy window and a mirror are also present.

Rear Dinette/End Bedroom:

To the rear of the caravan and to the right of the entrance door is the multi-functional area, by day it can be used as a separate lounge / dinette with two additional sofas furnished identically to the front lounge and incorporating a further two draw chest unit & by night converts to an end bedroom which can be sectioned off from the rest of the caravan via a concertina screen and can sleep as 2 single beds, convert to a double or makes up in to 2 x bunk beds sleeping 4. Alternatively, the fixed bed can be made up & then left down for the duration of your stay screened off from the rest of the caravan. A further Heki 2 rooflight is also provided for added light & ventilation as well as a further TV point & 230v socket.

External:

One piece external door with waste bucket & full length door fly screen & lockable with automotive style key, LED awning light with rain gutter, a Status 530 swivel directional TV/FM aerial (digital) with booster & exterior input & satellite socket, lined external locker with 230v socket, external BBQ Point, awning heater vent, external shower point (handy for rinsing dirty dogs!) AL-Ko lightweight chassis with Stabilform heavy duty corner steadies & hitch stabiliser, AL-Ko ATC system (active trailor control), large front locker with storage for 2 gas cylinders + equipment, Vortex graphite shadow alloy wheels & spare wheel (steel) in an underslung carrier. 13 pin Jaeger DIN standard socket to connect the car towing electrics. Thicker aluminium sides finished in gloss polar white are set off by attractive graphite and silver decals.  

Equipment:

Heating: Dual Fuel Gas/Electric (3.4kw) Truma Ultraheat 3002 space heater hot air central heating system with blown air heating points throughout the van. Heating and hot water is supplied by the Truma Ultra store water heater and the Truma 3002 heating system can be run off gas or electric. The heater has both space heater and blown air functionality, which combined with the grade 3 thermal insulation, means this caravan can be used year-round.

Hot Water: Truma Ultrastore Dual Fuel Gas/Electric hot water system. Water system is run via an external submersible pump & filter or via the on-board 36 litre water tank & high capacity pump.

Windows: Three panoramic front poly-plastic double glazed front windows with soft close flyscreens and black out blinds, side & rear Seitz flush fit windows with integrated blind/flyscreens.
