Well we might be bias with this one because we love Coachman caravans & especially the Amara range, specifically designed for families, the caravan comes equipped with all the expected standard features, as well as a host of added extras & without any unnecessary frills. A solidly built, well equipped, substantial twin axle Coachman caravan in very good condition both internally & externally, with a popular family layout, incorporating a luxury front lounge, fixed side double bunk beds, side-dinette seating area with table, a well-equipped centre kitchen & a deluxe end washroom/changing room.

This superb Coachman caravan would be equally at home used as a tourer or sited on a seasonal pitch & used as a static.

Description: Coachman Amara 640/6

Front Lounge:

The front section of the caravan has a good sized lounge area featuring two opposing full length fully sprung bench seats and back rests, set into fully engineered aluminium frame supports with under-seat storage provided via a hinged lift-up system supported by a gas strut in the open position providing easy access. These seats can be used as two single beds or converted into a double bed using the unique leg supported pull-out bed frame (berths 1 & 2). A 3-drawer chest of drawers (with metal runners & chrome handles to all draws) is positioned at the front of the caravan between the seats which also has fold out coffee table. The ‘luxury’ soft furnishings are upholstered in a light contemporary patterned design fabric with matching scatter cushions & toning curtains with tie-backs. There are loose-lay carpets with a quality wood effect flooring underneath. The furniture including drawers, cupboards & table tops are finished in Ash coloured veneered laminate in a two-tone Italian design with metal trim to the numerous overhead lockers & all work surfaces are finished in decorative laminate. Set into the ceiling is a large Heki 2 rooflight that gives the lounge a light airy feel along with the 3 large panoramic windows and plenty of ventilation when opened. The 6’5” headroom within the caravan & the 7’5” width also adds to the spacious feel. Concealed within an overhead locker is a branded CD/Radio with i-Pod connection & fitted speakers along with a TV point with 12v, 230v and co-axial sockets and LED corner lighting & reading spotlights.

Moving back through the caravan is a work surfaced side board arrangement with drawer & mounting for a TV & a cocktail cabinet above. The Side Dinette area runs along side, complete with a folding table & two single seats, upholstered in the same fabric as the lounge, for an additional living or dining space. The side dinette converts into 2 single bunk-type beds, by using the lift out top bunk system (berths 3 & 4) and is separated at night from the rest of the caravan via a privacy curtain.

Set in to the ceiling in-between the side dinette & the kitchen is an Omnivent 3 speed extractor fan with skylight.

Centre Kitchen:

Opposite the side dinette is the well-equipped centre kitchen which has a Thetford 107ltr 3-way fridge including 11ltr full width ice box, electronic ignition, digital display and stylish curved stainless finish door with black trim, Caprice cooker with 4 burner gas hob, separate grill & oven and an eye level factory fitted microwave in a dedicated housing. Set into the work surface is a recessed Spinflo Argent stainless steel kitchen sink and drainer, glass lid as well as a chrome pillar mixer tap. The glass safety hob cover with cut out feature, also can withstand hot pans adding to the already ample heat resistant work surfaces. Plenty of cupboard and drawer storage is available for crockery & kitchen essentials.

Fixed Bunk Beds:

Next to the kitchen is the double fixed single bunk bed area (berths 5&6). Both bunks have superior sprung full single bed length mattresses & have individual privacy curtains with tie-backs. Access to the top bunk (not suitable for children under 6 without supervision or individuals over 80kgs, 12.5 stone) is via a fixed ladder. A narrow opening window is situated just above the top bunk with fly screen & blind. A good sized storage area is available under the bottom bunk which lifts up via gas struts. To the side of the bunks is a handy narrow, floor to ceiling shelving unit.

Rear Washroom:

The rear washroom which also can double as a dressing room is both spacious & well equipped with a separate one piece fully lined curved shower unit with ABS shower tray & chrome mixer tap, a very large full sized wardrobe with hanging space, shelves & drawers & separate storage for the freestanding folding table (seats 4) & dinette table, a swivelling Thetford electric flush C250 toilet, an ABS white sink with chrome mixer tap set into an attractive shelved, mirrored vanity unit with storage cupboard. There is also a venetian blind to the washroom window for added privacy as well as provision of a domestic style bathroom door.
